Medicaid Recertification Workflow in the VCP
If a client has their Medicaid Recertification Expiration Date setup in the personal info section of their profile, the VCP prompts the Team Member to inquire about the client’s Medicaid Recertification during each visit as the Recertification Date approaches. The Medicaid Recertification Expiration Date is entered by the Local Admin or Program Assistant in the Web Application.
75 Days – Acknowledge Medicaid Recertification Expiration Date
- When a client’s Medicaid Recertification Expiration Date is within 75 days of the current date, upon clicking Start Visit, the Team Member is alerted to watch for paperwork
- The Medicaid Recertification status is updated and text color changes to yellow to indicate the recertification process is beginning
60 Days – Begin Medicaid Recertification Workflow
- When a client’s Medicaid Recertification Expiration Date is within 60 days of the current date, upon clicking Start Visit, the Team Member is prompted if the client has received their paperwork
- If the Team Member clicks ‘No’, they continue to document the visit and the Medicaid Recertification status is updated:
- If the Team Member clicks ‘Yes’, a second prompt asks if the paperwork has been submitted
- If the Team Member clicks ‘No’, they continue to document the visit and the Medicaid Recertification status is updated:
- If the Team Member clicks ‘Yes’, they continue to document the visit and the Medicaid Recertification status is updated in Green to indicate recertification:
- Upon the Recertification Expiration Date, the client’s Medicaid # and Recertification Expiration Date return to black text
Expired Medicaid Certification
If the client’s Medicaid Recertification Expiration Date has passed, upon starting a visit, the Team Member is prompted that the Medicaid has expired, and the status is updated in red:
